British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos confirmed on Wednesday night. The fighter was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two close friends.”

This update on his health follows the global fight fans had expressed condolences for the star in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
