'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Relatives of Missing Young People Await News After Ski Resort Blaze

The relatives of teens missing after a deadly inferno at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are facing an agonising wait for official news and pleading for clues about their family members publicly.

The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified video reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Authorities have warned that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the fire, which killed four dozen individuals and wounded another scores more. Officials stated on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to identify the remaining few.

The Italian foreign ministry has confirmed that six of its nationals have not been located.

Among them is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old promising athlete, originally from Italy but now living in the UAE.

The national sporting body has stated that he is deceased, without directly referencing the fire, honoring a "young athlete who represented dedication and true sportsmanship."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An representative has clarified that a official announcement of his death is awaited.

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is likewise among the missing. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had gone out with a group and found himself at the bar.
