The relatives of teens missing after a deadly inferno at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are facing an agonising wait for official news and pleading for clues about their family members publicly.
The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified video reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.
Authorities have warned that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the fire, which killed four dozen individuals and wounded another scores more. Officials stated on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to identify the remaining few.
In the meantime, relatives have been taking to online platforms to plead for any news about their friends who were present at the venue that evening.
