FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio OlĂmpic LluĂs Companys.
