The rising star maintains considerable social media presence
Kai Trump will have plenty of high-profile backers when she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple courses worldwide and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He practically advised me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in only three events this year and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to go out there, relax, and go with whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, especially reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
