Aryna Sabalenka concluded the year with an impressive 23-3 Grand Slam match record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight season.

The 27-year-old won four tournament victories – the most on tour – including retaining the US Open this past September versus Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Dominance

Across the season, Sabalenka played in a tour-best nine championship matches, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The star player also claimed victory at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the entire year as the top-ranked player, finishing 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Achievements

Sabalenka ended the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and picked up a record £11m in earnings.

She earned almost 80% of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a greater prominence".
