Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," shared Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the production, remarking that he could not remember "one day without mirth".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the local authorities.

A court order issued a embargo on the cases to limit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" associated with the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

After the deaths, public figures offered different responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an aide could have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
