The incident resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
